When a private eye named Anton (Tony Eusoff) takes a case to find a missing student, he must confront the deep dark depths of his own mind to uncover the truth around his own childhood disappearance. A hybrid neo-noir inspired by David Lynch, synthpop and the popular 'Choose Your Own Adventure' of the 80s, 'Shadowplay' is a Jungian mystic crime film set against the backdrop of Kuala Lumpur's neon lights. Starring Tony Eusoff, Juria Hartmans, Susan Lankaster, Megat Sharizal and Radhi Khalid, 'Shadowplay' is Tony's debut feature as a solo director.

Director Bio

Tony Pietra Arjuna, is a Malaysian writer, director and producer and self-described 'third culture kid'. After graduating from Emerson College in Boston and returning to Malaysia, Tony started in commercials and TV before directing films. He first cut his teeth as a director with segments in two feature film multi-collaborator omnibus projects, 'Cuak' and CollabFeature's 'Train Station'. 'Train Station' went on to win multiple awards at film festivals both in the US and internationally. More recently, he co-directed 'Safari Mall' and then a martial arts action film, 'Red Storm'. Tony’s follow up to 'Shadowplay' is 'Devoted', a drama/thriller series for Asian OTT platform Viu.
